PARENTAL CONTACT
PARENTS’ MEETINGS
We organise an annual parents’ evening early in the year, normally in the third week of September. Parents are invited to spend about 45 minutes with their child’s teacher in his or her classroom. The teacher will explain the curriculum for the year, the organisation of the class, teaching methods and other relevant matters.

Continuous assessment tests are conducted, both formally and informally, and parents receive a report at the end of each term. Formal tests are held at the end of KS1 and KS2.

At the end of each of our 3 terms, an individual parent-teacher meeting is organised. This is an opportunity to speak in detail about the child’s work and progress.

APPOINTMENTS
Parents are welcome to contact class teachers for short discussions as and when necessary. Parents should, when dropping off or picking up their children, set a mutually convenient appointment. For a more detailed discussion, a prior appointment is appreciated.

In the same way, if a child has any problem affecting his or her work, we will contact the parent by telephone and, if necessary, make an appointment to meet. We will act as promptly as possible when we feel that our expectations about work in class, homework, behaviour or attendance are not being met.
